all the difference
As we were finishing setting up for the art project, the children filtered into the room. One of the kids came up to each of the volunteers with pictures that he had drawn for us. He loved our chalk drawing day so much and our face painting at a special event we had that he wanted to thank each of us by drawing a picture of our names in bubble letters. My heart instantly melted, as it is not very frequent that these kids think of others outside of the upsetting world they live in. To know that we have touched the heart of at least one young person makes all the difference in my life.

now this makes me stop and think and reinforces the fact our mission is working and our kids have the best mentors in the world, to help them heal from their situations....I welled up a little on this one. Thank you for sharing!
